CARD RECOMMENDATION TOOL

Find the card that fits how you spend

Four quick steps. Your answers aren't stored or sent anywhere.

Step 1 of 4

How much do you spend monthly?

We use this to estimate the rewards you could earn each month.

You can leave this blank and skip. We will rank cards for ₹50,000 a month.

HOW WE RANK

Ranked on what you would actually earn

We never rank on headline marketing. Each card is ranked on what a year of your spending would actually earn on it, in rupees, after its annual fee.

  1. Estimate. Your monthly spend is split across your categories and priced at each card's real rates, within its caps and exclusions.
  2. Compare. Every point is valued in rupees at its best published use or transfer, then milestones and fee waivers are added and the annual fee taken off.
  3. Fit. Your transfer partners, fee limit and goals adjust the order, and cards only a closed group can get are left out.

Frequently asked questions

How does the tool rank cards?

It works out what a year of your spending would earn on each card, in rupees, after its annual fee: your spend is split across the categories you choose and priced at each card's real rates, caps and exclusions, plus milestone rewards and fee waivers your spend reaches. Cards you picked a transfer partner or goal for come first, and cards only a closed group can get are left out.

Are points from different banks comparable?

Not directly. A point from one bank is worth a different amount than a point from another, so every card is compared in rupees: each point at the best value the bank publishes (flights, hotels, vouchers or statement credit) or a transfer to an airline or hotel partner, whichever is higher. Estimated points are shown in each card's own currency.

Why is my card not listed?

We only list cards whose earn rate, annual fee and reward currency we have verified from issuer documents, so every card can be ranked on real numbers. Cards only a closed group can get (defence forces, professional bodies, government schemes) and cards closed to new applicants are left out. We add cards as we verify them.

Do the estimates include caps and exclusions?

Yes. Monthly and yearly reward caps, categories a card earns nothing on, spend tiers, milestone rewards, fee waivers and the fuel surcharge waiver are all applied. A rate that needs one merchant (5% on Amazon) counts on part of the category, since few people spend all of it in one place. Time-limited offers are not included, so check the issuer's terms before you apply.
